We’re excited to reveal the brand-new look of the children’s outpatients area at Queen’s Hospital – now transformed with a vibrant under-the-sea theme!
The space is bursting with colourful ocean murals, comfy new seating, and a fantastic interactive screen filled with arts & crafts, games, and educational fun – turning what could be a daunting visit into a fun, engaging experience for young patients.
A big thank you to Thahara Rasul, Ward Manager and Nurse Practitioner on Children’s Tropical Bay, who played a key role in bringing this project to life.
She said: “It’s so important that children feel calm and comfortable when coming to hospital. This new space helps take their minds off the medical environment and gives them something fun and familiar to focus on. It’s been amazing to see their faces light up!”
